ABOUT ALEX DE LA TORRE

High-Quality Legal Services for North Carolina at an Affordable Rate

Alex de la Torre provides superior legal services for people with legal matters in Stokes, Surry, and Forsyth Counties, as well as the surrounding counties, in North Carolina. He is able to review your legal matters and provide competent and practical advice for your legal matters at an affordable rate.

Alex is licensed to practice law in North Carolina (NC Bar ID #53812) and will provide representation in the District, Superior, and Appellate courts of the State. He primarily handles criminal and family law matters, but will be happy to represent you on any legal need that he is licensed and competent to represent you on.

Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania, in May 2011. After a few years off working different jobs, including a long stint as a pizza deliveryman, he enrolled in the Wake Forest University School of Law. In law school, he participated in pro bono opportunities such as wills clinics and Legal Aid of North Carolina's "Lawyer on the Line" program, which allowed him to conduct legal research, under the supervision of a licensed attorney, for those unable to afford their own representation. He graduated in May 2018 and passed the North Carolina Bar Exam on his first attempt in July 2018. Shortly thereafter, he was able to fulfill his goal of opening his own law practice immediately out of law school.

Since opening his practice, Alex has handled a variety of cases and served clients from all walks of life. He will listen to your needs and desired outcomes, and help you try to get the best result legally possible for you. He has been able to negotiate dismissals and compelling plea bargains with the District Attorney's office in criminal cases, as well as obtain settlements in your best interest with opposing counsel in civil matters. When reaching out to the other side has not worked out, Alex has fiercely advocated for his clients' interests at trial and has often been able to get clients their desired outcome. Alex has also worked on non-litigation matters and advised clients on how to best plan their future or their children's futures. He looks forward to being able to serve you and all of his future clients in the same way.

Alex serves on the Pro Bono Committee as well as the Indigent Defense Committee of the Local Bar of North Carolina's 23rd Judicial District (comprised of Stokes and Surry Counties). He is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association.

Alex resides in King and is active in the community. He is a member of Victory Bible Baptist Church in Tobaccoville, where he faithfully attends nearly every service to worship his Lord and Savior and serves as the head usher. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, whitewater rafting, and target shooting, as well as traveling across our beautiful country. Alex is a member of the Highpointers Club and a "48 Finisher", having climbed to the highest point of every state in the Continental US. He is planning to climb Denali within the next few years. Alex is a big fan of the Clemson Tigers (his loyalties long predate his time at Wake Forest), the New York Rangers, and Joe Gibbs Racing (and still roots for his favorite driver, the #8 Kyle Busch).

Alex wishes to remind you that viewing any page on this website, and/or contacting him, in and of itself does NOT create an attorney-client relationship, so please call or e-mail him so he can get in touch with you and discuss whether he can be of service to you!
